About me

"Long is the road until my hand reaches your hand..."

I could start with this song too — at one point I graduated as an Agricultural Technician and started working in this field. Climbing the ladder from entry level to site manager and then warehouse manager, I got increasingly closer to logistics.

I’ll never forget the words of the driver guys busy loading the current egg shipment, as they tried to charm the young girls working in the warehouse — including me — into joining them as travel companions. "But Amsterdam is so beautiful," they always said cheerfully. Since they always spoke about their job with such enthusiasm, I became curious what this Amsterdam could be like. Where was it even? I had never crossed the country’s borders. Since I couldn’t pick a driver to my liking, I decided to explore the world on my own.

I enrolled to obtain a Category C license. I fell in love with large vehicles right away — as an agricultural worker I already had a passion for tractors. At my first 'transport' job, I collected kilometers with a 7.5-ton Atego. People always want more — naturally, I longed for even larger vehicles. The work with articulated trucks seemed much slower, cleaner, and simpler. After the first year, I jumped into getting the Category E license. After my first drive, I knew I had arrived — this was my vehicle.

After 17 years of international driving, I stepped back due to family issues. When my father passed away, my mother was left alone in the big house, and after 35 years of marriage, she found it hard to cope.
I moved back in with her — as a companion.

I couldn’t let go of driving, so I started a sole proprietorship and continued working as a food courier. I was surprised as I got to know city driving and the Hungarian driving culture. If you're not the bigger one on the road, the traffic rules work completely differently.

Somehow city driving never became my friend, so I tried to break free and return to the highways.

I liked the freedom the business offered, the flexible working hours. I combined business with pleasure and founded a freight forwarding LLC. Complementing the vehicle I used as a courier with a trailer, I planned a transition between food delivery and freight transport. That’s how the company name was born — because poor Dacia was not destined for carrying reinforced concrete elements.

However, during my preparation, regulations changed and I had to choose between the two types of work. I chose freight transport, sold the Dacia, and due to lack of capital, I invested in a used Renault Trafic. That’s how PilleFuvar started its small but bumpy journey. I got to know the concept of 'learning money' and a whole lot more. I was juggling between private life responsibilities and keeping my business alive. Every cloud has a silver lining — I gained a lot of life experience in a short time. By the time I lobbied the banks for a new vehicle, my mother finished her earthly journey and found rest beside my father. She had completed her duty — she raised me and supported me for as long as needed.

Having grown up, I could return to international transport. Even if it’s not unique, it’s certainly not the norm to run a one-person LLC. Mine is like that. In the long term, I plan to involve coworkers, because I, too, will grow old one day. Once my enthusiasm for physical work fades, I’ll begin to experience delegation. Until then, I’ve created a workplace for myself where you can be sure that I, Gabriella Bognár, personally guarantee the quality of the work.
